CHASING THE TIDE - 1st APRIL 2023

The Pineapple Express is a Ultra Trail Run that takes runners on an adventure along beach sand, rocks , Sugar Cane paths and Indigionious trails along the KZN South Coast. Runners must be prepared and fit enough to take on each distance that they have entered. Runners must be prepared to face the elements and sudden weather changes on race day.

 All Pineapple Express Runners must agree that regardless of their race position on race day, that should they come across another runner in touble or in need of help, that they will assist that runner to the best of their ability. 

Littering on any race course is forbidden and any person seen or reported to litter will be disqualified. 

Runners must have the correct and nessesary equipment to tackle the Ultra Trail Runs. Runners cannot carry other runners equipment and all runners must finish their respective runs under their own power. 

Runners must have the following nessesary equipment:

1. Suitable Trail Shoes and clothing
2. Hydration pack with atleast 2lt capacity
3. GPS Watch or Tracker suitable for the race distance
4. Suncream 40+
5. Vaseline
6. Charged Cell Phone in a water proof bag
7. Cramp Assault or Similar for cramping
8. Spare pair of socks
9. Cap / Hat or similar
10. Sun Glasses for eye Fatigue
11. High energy food bars, gels or similar nutrition
12. Whistle
13. light-weight jacket
14. LED Head lamp
15. Space Blanket
16. Lip-ice
17. Small Medical Kit (Optional but worth it)

Should the event be cancelled due to Covid-19 Restrictions, then a 100% Refund will be done less banking fees.
